A scenic and mesmerizing short Annapurna Panaroma Trek with 360° wide-angle views of snowcapped mountains, moderate country walks with moderate up and down hills through cultural Gurung / Poon-Magar villages and exploring the world's largest natural garden, filled with rhododendron forests, including awesome scenery and walking the ancient Trans-Himalayan Salt Trade and Caravan route of Nepal and Tibet.

The Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is a short circuit around the southern green hills of the massive Annapurna Himal range of mountains. This is an awesome walk suitable for all kinds of travelers: families, school/ college groups and corporate groups.

This fascinating moderate trek leads meanders uphill and downhill through interesting traditional farming villages of the Gurung and Poon/Magar tribe of people commonly renown worldwide as gallant Gorkha soldiers.

This amazing and fabulous trekking starts and concludes at picturesque Pokhara, after a glorious time descending from the high scenic Poon Hill with a backdrop of a stunning sunrise over the majestic Himalayan range of Mountains.

This is the only trek where you can view the world's 7th highest Mt. Dhaulagiri at 8,167 m, the 8th highest Mt. Manaslu at 8,163 m and the 10th highest Mt. Annapurna at 8,091m with array of other spectacular peaks. The stunning sunrise from scenic Pun Hill at 3,210 m is an image that will be forever engrained in your memory.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu prepration for trekking overnight at hotel.

On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, received by Sherpa Expedition and Trekking staff with warm welcome and transfer to respective hotels with briefing regarding trekking, hotels, lodge on route with do and don’ts with evening group welcome dinner.

Day 02: Drive or fly to Pokhara 850m - 06 hrs journey distance 220 k.m.

Morning travel by tourist coach or in private vehicle depending upon the group size towards amazing Pokhara valley transfer to respective hotels close to beautiful Phewa Lake with afternoon free for short walks. (For flying option a 30 minutes flight to Pokhara).

Day 03: Pokhara to Ulleari(1,990m) 5-6 hrs

We will cover 42km distance from Prithvi Chowk and cross beautiful Lumle village to Nayapul (1050m). Poonhill sunrise trek starts from Nayapul. Following Modi River, we will walk past forest of blooming rhododendron and cross small stream. We will cross Birethanti after about half an hour of trek and arrive at ulleari.

Day 04: Tikhedhunga trek to Ghorepani 2,874 m 5-6 hrs

Steep trek for about 2hrs will take us to Ulleri (2070m). We will cross the Magar village of Banthanti from where we can get spectacular views of Machhapuchhre Mountain (6997m), Hiunchuli Mountain (6441m) and Annapurna South Mountain (7219m). We will cross the small river and climb to Nangethanti. We will arrive at Ghorepani from where we can get soaring views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Annapurna I and other mountains.

Day 05: Ghorepani to Poonhill ViaTadapani 2,721 m 6-7 hrs

Poonhill is popular for best sunrise view in Pokhara. We will rise very early and reach the base of Poonhill. About an hour of climb will take us to Poonhill viewpoint. We can get sunrise view over Dhaulagiri Mountain (8167m), Annapurna I Mountain (8091m), Annapurna II Mountain (7937m), Annapurna III Mountain (7855m), Annapurna IV Mountain (7525m), Annapurna South Mountain (729m), Nilgiri Mountain (6940m), Tukuche Mountain (6920m), Varaha Shikhar (7847m), Lamjung Himal (6931m) and other mountains. We will return to hotel in Ghorepani for breakfast and then take descending trail to Tadapani village from where we can get views of Annapurna South, Annapurna II, Fishtail and other mountains.

Day 06: Tadapani trek to Ghandruk 1,750m - 04 hrs.

3 hrs of easy walk through forest of oak, rhododendron and other alpine flowers will take us to Ghandruk. Ghandruk is the large Gurung village. We can get striking views of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna III, Hiunchuli and other Mountains from viewpoint in Ghandruk. Homestay in Ghandruk is a pleasant experience. We will be welcomed by the locals with Khada and traditional dance.Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 07 Trek to Jhinu Danda (1780m) 4 to 5 hrs.

4 hrs steep down hill we can get jhinu danda . same day we can go for take hot bath in netural hotspring from our hotel 30 minutes we can enjoy there.

Day 08: Trek to Nayapu and drive to pokhara.

you can have a breakfast at hoteland youhave to walk about 4 hrs from ghandruk to naypul first part steep down and youhave to fallow the road till nayapul then you have to take private car from nayapul to pokhara 1:30 hrs overnight at pokhara

Day 09 : Drive or fly to kathmandu 6 to 7 hrs

Early in the morning you take a breakfast and leave from hotel

Day 10: International departure homeward bound.

Last day in amazing Nepal with great experience and fond memories of Annapurna. Pun Hill Panorama trekking, with time for international flight, Sherpa Expedition and Trekking staff transfers you to airport for your final departure homeward

Doing treks in Himalayas of Nepal is the distinct culture and environment. Trekkers need to consider on following do’s and don’ts.
  • Do smile and greet the local people with saying “Namaste” and “Tashidelek” to show respect.
  • Do walk in a group or keep a distance that you could see your front and behind fellow.
  • Do consult with your trekking guide before trying anything new during the trek.
  • Do ask question to the guide for the next day trekking necessity, so that you could pack in your small backpack because rest baggage will carry by porter and will get only in the evening.
  • Do give donation to the monastery in the trekking area where they don’t collect tickets from the visitors but there is a donation box.
  • Do inform your trekking guide if you are not comfortable with your health while approaching higher altitude.
  • Don’t under estimate the local culture and belief even if you find uncomfortable with it.
  • Don’t take a picture of the people without their permission during the trek because some individual don’t like that.
  • Don’t be strange if local people stare at you because they are surprise to see you, not with a bad intention.
  • Don’t expect too many facilities in the trekking areas, most places provide you only the basic facilities.
  • Don’t harm wild animals, birds and plants during the trek and take a global responsibility to save the environment.
  • Don’t give money to the children and the beggars; it encourages them to beg from the visitors.

Although, we generally adhere to the schedule, the itinerary is subject to change for numerous reasons beyond our control, including weather and terrain conditions, suitable campsite availability, and the group's general fitness level. It is important to understand that our trek is logistically complex and it is not unusual that adjustments be made. Please remember that our ability to make adjustments as needed helps to ensure that your trek is successful.
