Tamang Heritage Trekking is to explore and experience Tamang culture and heritage near Tibetan border through Langtang Valley. Tamang Heritage Trekking trail passes through Tamang settlements with numerous exciting opportunities to excurse the area. The unique culture of Tamang people, their costumes and rituals, carvings and architecture in houses and monuments, ancient monasteries and many other elements are there to experience. Tamang people wear colorful clothes and finely carved houses.

Tamang Heritage Trekking area is traditional route of traders. These People are replaced from Tibet after a war between Nepal and Tibet in case of bartering salt and mountain goats. This trekking trail is one of the very popular trekking trails nearest from Kathmandu valley. Tamang settlements are therefore Tibetan Buddhists therefore rich in cultural and religious part of life. Day 01 - Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to the country of Mt. Everest! As you arrive in Tribhuvan International Airport, our representatives will receive you and transfer to the hotel which you have booked in Kathmandu. Hotel staffs will complete check in and manage for your accommodation. We organize welcome dinner in the hotel in the evening with our team.

Day 02 -Half day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu

Early morning, after breakfast, you will be taken for a cultural tour of Kathmandu city. Some of the main highlights will be Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square,  Patan Durbar.

Day 03 -Kathmandu to Syabrubesi Drive (1467m), 7hrs.

On this day, we drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi in a Jeep or car. The road is full of exciting scenes and views of mountains covered with forests via Trishuli in Nuwakot. The picturesque views of terraced fields and green hills with the glimpse of Ganesh Himal are rewarding along the way. We stay in a lodge in Syabrubesi

Day 04 -Syabrubesi to Gatlang Trek (2563m.) 6 hrs.

On this day, we trek to Gatlang from Syabrubesi through Goljung. It is pleasant walk with the picturesque views of forests and terraced fields. The variety of plants and flowers can be seen throughout the trail. You can explore the some Tamang settlements along the trail and experience their hospitality. We stay overnight in a lodge at Gatlang.

Day 05 -Gatlang to Tatopani Trek (2600m.) 6 hrs.

 On this day, we follow the trail to Tatopani enjoying the views of Ganesh Himal and Langtang Himal ranges. The trail passes through some Tamang villages to explore and experience their lifestyle and culture. We reach at Tatopani, a natural hot spring which is believed to remove all the pains and aches in a single dip. We stay overnight in Tatopani

Day 06 -Tatopani to Thuman Trek (2338m.) 5 hrs.

This day trek continues to Thuman from Tatopani through Nagthali and Bumthang. Nagthali is popular meditation centre for monks and priests in local area. The area provides impressive views of Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal, Kerung Himal and many other peaks. We reach at Thuman which is culturally rich to explore Tamang culture. We stay overnight in Thuman.

Day 07 -Thuman to Briddim trek (2229m.), 6hrs.

On this day, trekking continues to Briddim from Thuman enjoying panoramic views of mountains and forests. We pass through Timure which is traditional trade route with Tibet. We reach Briddim and excurse the village. Briddim is unspoiled village where you can experience Tibetan culture practiced by the Tibetan descendants. We stay overnight in Briddim.

Day 08 -Briddim to Lama Hotel (2500m.) 6hrs

On this day, we follow the trail to Lama Hotel from Briddim. The trekking is pleasant walk for about 7 hours passing through forests of rhododendron and bamboo. You can see some wild animals and experience natural life along the trail. There you can also experience traditional culture while walking through mountain settlements. We stay overnight in Lama Hotel.

Day 09 -Lama Hotel to Langtang Valley 6 hrs.

On this day, we enter into Langtang Valley. The picturesque views along the trail are very pleasant and rewarding. The valley is third most popular trekking area in Nepal with full of varieties of flora and fauna. You can have wonderful views of snow capped mountains and peaks along the walk. We stay in a Lodge in Langtang.

Day 10 -Langtang to Kanjin 4 hrs.

We trek continue to Kyanging Gompa to explore its architectural loftiness and spiritual insight. You can explore surrounding area of Kyanging for the whole day. The panoramic views of giant mountains and Langtang Valley are very impressive and breath-stopping. We stay overnight in Kyanging.

Day 11 -Acclimatization It is our rest day in Khyanjin.

You can explore surrounding area of Kyanjin. Best way to utilize is hiking to Langshisa Kharka or Glacier Langtang-Lirung or Tserko Ri. The views of Langtang Himal range and many other peaks are unforgettable while wandering around the Gompa area. We stay overnight in Khyanjin.

Day 12 -Kanjin to Lama Hotel (2500m.)6hrs.

After breakfast, you will depart from Nepal to your next destination or your country.

Day 13 -Lama Hotel to syabru bensi 6hrs.

On this day, we trek descend to sybru from Lama Hotel. The trail is full of picturesque views of landscapes and natural scenarios.

Day 14 Sybru to Kathmandu On this day, we drive back to Kathmandu.

Travelling from Sybru to Kathmandu is exciting journey along the bending roadway with full of views of green hills and gorges. You will be transferred to hotel where you either have leisure time or you may catch the last moments exploring the missed sights or shopping for gifts to your nearest ones. In the evening, we organize celebration dinner together.

Day 15: International departure homeward bound.

As it is the last day, we have to bid goodbye to the guest as visit in Nepal comes to the end for this time. If you have time enough, you can have sightseeing and purchasing the token of love from Nepal. Before 3 hours of scheduled flight, our representatives will take you to the TIA. We hope you will be planning for another adventure-trip while you are on returning back to your homeland. You can extend your Nepal stay if you have time and money too.

Doing treks in Himalayas of Nepal is the distinct culture and environment. Trekkers need to consider on following do’s and don’ts.
Do’s
  • Do smile and greet the local people with saying “Namaste” and “Tashidelek” to show respect.
  • Do walk in a group or keep a distance that you could see your front and behind fellow.
  • Do consult with your trekking guide before trying anything new during the trek.
  • Do ask question to the guide for the next day trekking necessity, so that you could pack in your small backpack because rest baggage will carry by porter and will get only in the evening.
  • Do give donation to the monastery in the trekking area where they don’t collect tickets from the visitors but there is a donation box.
  • Do inform your trekking guide if you are not comfortable with your health while approaching higher altitude.
Don’t
  • Don’t under estimate the local culture and belief even if you find uncomfortable with it.
  • Don’t take a picture of the people without their permission during the trek because some individual don’t like that.
  • Don’t be strange if local people stare at you because they are surprise to see you, not with a bad intention.
  • Don’t expect too many facilities in the trekking areas, most places provide you only the basic facilities.
  • Don’t harm wild animals, birds and plants during the trek and take a global responsibility to save the environment.
  • Don’t give money to the children and the beggars; it encourages them to beg from the visitors.

Although, we generally adhere to the schedule, the itinerary is subject to change for numerous reasons beyond our control, including weather and terrain conditions, suitable campsite availability, and the group's general fitness level. It is important to understand that our trek is logistically complex and it is not unusual that adjustments be made.
