Tsho-rolpa Lake, lying at an altitude of 4,580 meter is between the mountain range of Langtang and Everest which is consider as the biggest glacial lake in Nepal. This wonderful trekking destination in the eastern-central region of Nepal which takes the trekkers to the mountainous range of rolwalling valley of Nepal along with the Tibetan border. Tsho rolpa lake trek is one of the least visited trekking routes provides the enchanting views of majestic mountains like, Gaurisankar, Lang tang and Everest Himalayan ranges. However the major attraction of this trek is itself the “Tsho Rolpa Lake”.
Despite of being visited by the less number of trekkers, this region has got all the major facilities like accommodation, proper and safe trekking trails, tea houses and many more. Not only that mighty nature has blessed this region with some of the most amazing landscape, magnificent views, wilderness vegetations and the mountains that stands over 7,000 meters high. Trekking in this region will give you the life time experience as there are many things still untouched and unexplored.
Since the route takes you to the Tibetan border side, a huge influence of Buddhism can be seen in this region. However we can see the lifestyle of Brahmin, Chettri, Sherpa and many other mixed cultures. Ascending high through the trek allows the trekkers to experience and witness the ethnicity, hospitality and traditions of Sherpa culture of Rolwalling valley as it reaches the village like Chetchet, Beding and Na.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300 m) at Tribhuvan international airport and transfer to hotel. O/N at hotel
Our representative from Sherpa expedition and trekking will be there at airport to welcome you and transfer to your desire hotel. Reaching upon your desired hotel relax and freshen up yourself after your long flight, you will be then invited to visit our office for a briefing about your trek program and a short meeting with your guide.
Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Jagat (1,400 m), 9-10 hours.
After breakfast at the hotel, get ready to proceed towards our destination on a jeep. We will drive from Kathmandu to Jagat which is a beautiful village settlement in Dolakha districts of Nepal which will take you approximately 10 hours to reach there. Overnight at Hotel
Day 3: Trek from Jagat to Simigaon (2,020 m), 5-6 hours.
Today after having the breakfast, we follow the straight and decent paths until chetchet which will be our lunch place for the day. After Chetchet we then cross the suspension bridge over the Tamakhosi River and ascending towards the Simigaon village via incline steep trail and the terrace farmlands. Overnight at tea house.
Day 4: Trek from Simigaon to Dongang (2,800 m), 6 hours
We now enter to the beautiful Rolwalling valley through gorgeous rhododendron and bamboo forest. The path steadily ascends towards Kyalche (3,300 m) walking on a trekking trail enjoying the mesmerizing landscape and the gurgling of Tamakhosi. We then descent down back to the river campsite where there is two beautiful guesthouses which will be our place of overnight for today.
Day 5: Trek from Dongang to Beding (3,690 m), 6 hours
We gradually climb the forested valley of tropical alpine vegetation, with exciting mountain scenery and amazing landscape. The trail is not that much difficult as we will be much stunned by the charismatic beauty of the nature. Reaching upon the Beding village, if we are lucky enough Melungtse I (7,181 m) will welcome us by the stunning glimpse of it, as it is the highest mountain of Rolwalling himal. Beding is tiny settlement; well known to Everest summiteers, this Sherpa village have old historical Buddhist monastery located in the centre of the village.
Day 6: Trek from Beding to Na gaon/Na village (4,180 m) 6-7 hours.
We start with a slow ascend on the right side of the Rolwaling river until we reach Kharka in Dhogre. We can see the Mount Gurisankar (7,134 m) looking differently because of different angle. The last tiny alpine hamlet only inhabited during summer months. The village is the last settlement of this trekking route. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 7: Rest and acclimatization day at Na village, Hike to Tso rolpa lake (4,580 m) and explore the Highest glacial lake.
Finally the most vital moment of the whole trek arrives on this day as we hike from Na gaon to reach our most anticipated destination Tsho Rolpa Lake. We then explore around the vicinity of the Lake and admire the beauty of Nature. The turquoise lake is surrounded by bare hills and snow capped mountains and peaks, which when reflects on the surface of the lake make it breathtaking sights. We will enjoy the calm moment, explore the vicinity of the lake taking the amazing pictures and treasure the moment spent around the Tsho Rolpa Lake. We will be then getting back to Na village for our Overnight stay.
Day 8: Trek from Na village to Beding.
Now we will ascend the same way that we follow earlier as our destination for today is Beding village.
Day 9: Beding to Kyalche
Day 10: Trek to Simigaon from Kyalche
Day 11: Trek to chetchet
